Social

The safety of our passengers and employees is the cornerstone of our social commitment and a key part of our mission and purpose. We also believe that being a responsible and sustainable Company is about making a positive difference in the communities where we live and work.

We offer extensive training and apprenticeship programs for our technical population around the world that will build the capacity of a future workforce; we prioritize local procurement and local content procedures, where possible; and we have a robust communications system that we use to engage with our stakeholders. We are also proud that our workforce reflects the diversity of the global communities in which we operate.

Additionally, through Bristow Uplift, we choose social investment initiatives that align with our Core Values and work to build strong community relationships that will have a positive impact on our communities and create long-term value for our business.

Environmental

Our stance on environmental sustainability is integral to how we operate across all regions and all functions. Recognizing that the aviation industry has a significant role to play in mitigating the effects of climate change, we have a diverse range of initiatives aimed at reducing our own greenhouse gas emissions footprint, as well as identifying, managing, and mitigating our impact to the local environments in which we operate. We have also developed a robust climate change risk management strategy aligned with the recommendations made by the Task Force on Climate Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). The following are some of our highlights in environmental performance:

  • Undertaking proactive measures to reduce aircraft emissions and reduce the environmental impact of our operations. Modern fleet technology includes flight planning software for payload management to ensure aircraft engines perform efficiently and are regularly maintained by an experienced engineering team.
  • Maintaining ISO14001 certification in the UK and Brazil and an ISO14001-aligned global Environmental Management System (EMS).
  • Pursuing early adoption of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAFs) in partnership with engine manufacturers, aircraft manufacturers, fuel system suppliers, our customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Avoiding adverse noise impacts to our communities, by utilizing mitigation measures such as hush houses for engine runs, installing noise walls around our bases, limiting engine runs and establishing aircraft operating “quiet hours” in the evening, and selecting aircraft routing that avoids residential areas, where these can be implemented.
  • Transitioning to electric ground support vehicles in our operations where available in country.
  • Partnering with several Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) OEMs in the certification and development of electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) and electric short take-off and landing (eSTOL) aircraft.
