Era's Suriname Helicopters is the only commercial helicopter operator based in Suriname providing helicopter support for deep-water exploration projects. We have two AW139 helicopters that are both capable of crew change as well as Search and Rescue (SAR) roles. We operate exclusively for the GUM Air heliport in Paramaribo.

Our helicopters perform in all weather conditions and run VFR/IFR day/night operations with 15-minute launch time day and 30-minute launch time night capabilities. Suriname Helicopters’ rescue coordination call center operates 24 hours/day. We have a team of advanced life support paramedics and rescue swimmers aboard our overwater hoist capable helicopters that are suited for long-range flights.

Era's Suriname Helicopters and Priority 1 Air Rescue (P1AR) offer full-service SAR/EMS capability and turnkey solutions to offshore oil & gas companies located in Paramaribo, Suriname for a 24-hour SAR and advanced life support emergency medical services. We are the only helicopter operators that are certified by the Ministry of Health and possess the lifesaving drugs that are required for emergency situations. This is all accomplished with oversight from the local hospital doctors.

Suriname Helicopters’ AW139s are located in Paramaribo and can be used in a utility role if needed. We can remove some or even all 12 seats to carry supplies to and from your job site if needed. We have also used the helicopters to do several aerial filming projects to document the deep-water exploration projects off the coast of Suriname.

Sometimes a helicopter is not the best tool for the job and you need something smaller or less costly. Suriname Helicopters has you covered with our Unmanned Aerial Solutions (UAS). Our team of UAS pilots are able to travel to you and can typically complete your project within the same day.

Fleet

Era’s Suriname fleet currently consists of two SAR-capable Leonardo AW139 helicopters. In addition to the twelve passenger AW139 helicopters based in Suriname, we also have access to the larger 16-passenger AW189, as well as the 19-passenger Sikorsky S92 GWE that can be quickly mobilized if desired.

Feel Like a Local

Make sure you book your stay at the Oxygen Resort when you are in Paramaribo. They have great food, a relaxing atmosphere, and it is located about one mile from the GUM Air heliport. It is definitely the preferred place to stay.
