With over six decades of operation, Era is at the forefront of the oil and gas support industry with the most technologically advanced helicopter fleet. Today, Era currently employs more than 600 people in Alaska, the Gulf of Mexico, and various other locations throughout the world. Era headquarters are located in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Era’s primary business is transporting personnel to the shallow and deepwater oil and gas fields in the Gulf of Mexico and Alaska. Era also supports fire fighting operations, operates flight-seeing tours in Alaska, offers environmental support, and leases helicopters to third parties around the globe.
