The Support By the Hour (SBH®) contract covers 16 Turbomeca Makila 2A engines to power Era’s new fleet of eight Eurocopter EC 225 helicopters. The engines will be operated by Era or third parties in a pool arrangement and will perform missions in the Gulf of Mexico and Europe. Each are expected to fly a minimum of 1,000 hours per year.

“Era Helicopters is looking forward to a collaborative effort with Turbomeca aimed at ensuring maximum availability to Era’s new helicopter fleet,” said Ed Washecka, Era’s CEO.
